Quantum Trace (2026) is a generative light installation that explores image-making as a field of uncertainty, emergence, and possibility. At its core, a dynamic light sculpture evolves in real time, informed by a quantum computing simulation in which multiple states coexist before temporarily resolving into visible form. Subtle variations in time, environment, and observation continuously shape the system, making each configuration unstable and unrepeatable.
Surrounding wall-based light works capture singular outcomes of this process. Each piece functions as a unique “quantum trace,” preserving a fleeting configuration of possibilities, an image that will never occur in the same way again.
