Daria Jelonek is an educator and researcher working at the intersection of art, science, and emerging technologies. Her teaching practice is grounded in the belief that knowledge is produced through experimentation, collaboration, and critical engagement with tools and systems.

She develops learning environments that combine theoretical reflection with hands-on exploration, enabling students to work directly with AI, XR, real-time systems, and multisensory environments.

She has taught, lectured, and led workshops internationally at leading institutions including the Royal College of Art, University of Oxford, University College London, University of the Arts London, University of Edinburgh, Imperial College London, Folkwang University of the Arts Essen and SIA Beijing.

Her academic and artistic work is closely connected to interdisciplinary research and institutional collaboration. She is currently a Fellow in Knowledge Futures in the Age of AI at University College London and the Slade School of Fine Art, and has previously collaborated with organisations such as Microsoft Research, S+T+ARTS and projects supported by the European Commission, working alongside scientists, technologists, and researchers.

Her practice extends into international discourse through invited talks and presentations at institutions and platforms such as Science Gallery London, Nottingham Contemporary, Global Design Forum and global festivals including the London Design Festival and Sónar+D.

Jelonek’s academic approach emphasizes collective learning, cross-disciplinary exchange, and experimental practice. She creates open environments in which students and collaborators engage critically and practically with emerging technologies, while developing the capacity to understand and shape their ecological, societal, and geopolitical implications.
